Sunshine Beach State School

Our school has a strong focus on developing each learner in a challenging yet supportive environment. Our kids are great, and to optimise their learning, we provide a comprehensive educational experience. School should be fun and learning is fun at Sunshine Beach!


Our school was Australia's first accredited school to achieve the 'Quality School' status with the William Glasser Institute. This accreditation examined and assured Sunshine Beach State School has in place a quality curriculum, quality teaching and quality relationships amongst staff, learners and the school community.

Weeyal sculpture unveiled

Artist Shane Christensen and much-loved volunteer Glossy Bob were celebrated at the unveiling of *Weeyal*, a magnificent Glossy Black Cockatoo sculpture Shane masterfully carved from a tree stump on our school grounds.
